Apparently team have been testing some aero parts for '23 on Max's car. And the famous duct tape made its return as Checo got damage in FP1. Not end of the world
Any word on the nature of those changes? Strange time to be testing that stuff given the FP2 test and the extreme altitude.
No can't find anything but I'll keep an eye out for info

"A little extra gold"
looks nice but doesn't provoke the same sense of celebratory feelings you'd expect after the truth that has come out today. Technically they haven't achieved any championships through either themselves or officials observing and abiding by the rules of the sport.
Speak for yourself.
dude's a RB hater and a merc zealot since the start, just ignore him.

"We're with the music, on a lap like with the long runs," said Red Bull sports director Helmut Marko. However, the Honda advantage of the past has disappeared. "We saw that last year."

that translation isn't quite correct. "Geschwunden" means that is has a lesser effect now. "Verschwunden" would mean it has disappeared

Mexican GP Saturday: No race sims for either driver in FP3 looking at the telemetry. They look like they are struggling. Some very different lines in the esses in S2.

Worth remembering that this car has not had an upgrade since Singapore and won't have any through the remainder of the season. On the other hand, Merc have had upgrades hand over fist in this last two GPs.

VER still in another league while Merc is much closer. A pity PER couldn't split the Mercs though.

Checo was complaining of DRS and electrical issues on the steering wheel.

Singapore was also a small update. Last major update was Spa in terms of bodywork and France for the floor. Switched to next season early

Yep I was thinking that Red Bull are doing what Mercedes used to do. Switch to next season and the pack “catches” them at the end of the current season but it’s all an illusion. Especially under a budget cap.

Merc still needed to upgrade the 22 car because they need to understand it. RB already throwing the weight at ‘23 given their understanding already.

You mentioned Max has tested 2023 parts in FP1 this weekend. Could you find any pictures, sir?

I will look after the weekend at what Verstappen ran in Fp1 and see if I can notice anything. If anything it might be the rear floor edges raised by the required 20mm but will need to study photos

Perez's issues (from the post qualifying reaction video on F1 youtube):

1) No laptime reference on dash
2) No DRS tone (so he had to manually decide when to engage it)
3) No brake bias readout (so he had couldn't adjust during the lap and didn't know where he was on it)

He could have definitely locked out the front row with Max without the car issues.

Yeah he definitely opened the DRS late on his last flyer, probably would have been up .1 or more in just sector 1.
