Of course it did, others from the team said so later and in less public manner. Revealing this to others right away would reveal too much, so you wait till it becomes obvious.

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

What on earth has happened to this car. Talk about a fall from grace. Outqualified by an Alfa? :wtf:

That's what happens when rules change half-way and you need to compromise your setup every race. Eventually, you get completely lost. Like Mercedes did early in the season...

I can't imagine the heartache of chassis dpt, making the best chassis for the ruleset, so easy to setup and could always find the sweetspot, fastest in qualy and race-pace (or shared fastest a few times). And then this anti-bounce td crap

Very disappointing. The trajectory of this season doesn’t inspire me with confidence for next year’s prospects. Have to think Mercedes won’t get it as wrong next year. And they still will end this season having a faster race car than ours despite being miles behind

Leclerc had an issue with the engine/DRS as well. It's not clear.

Nothing went right this weekend. They also wasted a 1 hour of FP3 with a completely wrong setup. Simply awful.

Remember when around this time last year, there were rumors that Jean Todt could come back as a super consultant?
What could have been...
Pretty sure this sh*t of a TD (purely political) wouldn't have passed.

We are simply too soft qnd lenient as an organization, as opposed to RB or Merc.

Almost like we lost any political power 😥

AMuS has reported that Ferrari has turned down engine power(due to the altidude)to protect the turbochargers. To survive on the straights Ferrari is driving with less downforce. Not ideal on a high downforce track like Mexico City.

Exactly.
Bad reliability, bad race strategy on average, lack of any political power.
It might very well end them this year in the constructors championship behind Mercedes who created a dog of a car and couldn’t get on top of that.

If this is true, and it might very well be, how can they be beaten by an Alfa ?

Q3 main issue was Drs problems and engine problems. Not just detuned but leclerc had horrendous drivability

They also were slow due to horrible balance but that's because they spent most of the weekend trying to use the Bahrain downforce wing, and swapped back to high dwf right before qualifying so no time to dial it in. Sainz suffered in Q3 from horrible balance through the esses and not for a mistake in sector 2, he would have fought for front row.
