I'm a little worried with having that severe amount of downwash, and it being possible by sheilding the flow with the outer/side on the sidepod there, that the car might suffer from serious inconstancy when cornering with heavy side winds, as it would disrupt the sheilding effect and the actual channel is quite narrow?

I mean yes they'll have taken it into account but it'll be interesting to see if the car struggles relatively more than others in high winds or not.

I don’t think the have shown the hole solution to the sidepods. They could have something an air opener/feeder as Ferrari or as Williams last year. Or it feels to me.

What makes you think that ? They showed in their recent Twitter post overhead/rearview shots and you can't see anything like that.

I think during testing would have some modifications, the design points or suggest that they might have a couple of options to help the flow down that gap

some heavy bouncing at 0:50 watch in slomo, but nothing on the long straight maybe just bumpy track

Too short of a shoot to determine is bouncing or just a bump on the road

That looks indeed like a bump on the road (think it’s the pitlane entry)

at 1:04 the car looks perfectly stable and no bouncing at all

This year's rule changes were created to tackle porpoising so it would be surprising seeing some.

They reduce it, they're not going to get rid of it as engineers will push that way for more downforce anyway, it just limits the extent. And mainly it stops the teams running the outer edge of the floor on the ground which creates some big safety concerns if a car spins, there's a reason skirts are outlawed.

This extreme concept I believe will only work with a side wall, unlike the Williams short pod(for downwash). There are a few things I can see that allow for the flow to stay attached and slide down the valley without much losses.

1) no vents on top keep flow energy high
2) the mirror stay is lift profile so it preconditions to bend the flow field slightly downwards.
3) the two VGs under mirror and halo both generate counter rotating vortices helping the the downwash in the middle.
4) the Side wall acts not only as a shield against tire wake but also creates a large NACA inlet like geometry in that area. Obviouly there won't be a strong side wall vortex like in a NACA but there will be some circulation around the wall that helps spill in the some flow from the outside in to fill the volume.

Alpines waterside last year weren't that deep, but the drop off and curvature at the start of the ramp was more aggressive and more prone to separation given the smaller radius. If that held then this certainly would.
Technically we don't know if they'll run vents there on very hot days. Alpine didn't run the vents there last year on cooler days.

porpoising under braking on pit entry: that'd be a first!
