Alpine dropped the whole sidepod, not just the waterslide. The top SIS almost protrudes from the bodywork over its entire length.

I dont think so.
The sidepod inlet is more forward.... maybe the cokpit is more backward...

I think Alpine too created that small extension/keel on the lower nose edges to mount the bottom wishbone trailing arm lower (yellow arrow) (like Ferrari & RB/AT)

Nice spot on the extension to the keel. Did they all do this independently, or did someone have that in 2022 and others have followed suit?

A nice pic of the new centerline cooling system which looks smaller/simpler and not horizontal anymore , + the much-easier-to-access new rear suspensions (also thanks to the different bodywork).

The new anti-roll bar (the cylinder just above the stay) is also better integrated than 2022 and doesn't make the bodywork wider.

The old anti-roll bar (below) was protruding and made the bodywork wider there.
The new one is in the shadow of the cooling system etc, above the gearbox.

Yes it seems Alpine added a vein to the rear wing endplate to manage the airflow / tire wake there.
I dont recall seeing this solution on other '22 cars.

--> the good old innovative spirit of Enstone is slowly coming back.

2022 GB vs today
Aside from that vein, the lower end plate corners are more intricate than usual, and more ''3 dimensional'
That's a sensible area of the car.

The floor bulges they added in Singapore are visible here (black arrow)

According to an Alpine Engineer they are indeed 'extremely" underweight. They can play with 10kgs of ballast. Usually a massive advantage!

This comes from an insider. Actually a very high ranking engineer of Alpine.

Yeah I noticed that nnd I noticed what you said about the water slide retaining somewhat of an S shape.

Thanks. This means the Alpine is near the minimum weight of the minium weight*?

*the minimum weight that you have to have on the front axle (0.455) and the rear axle (0.540 or Something), which gives you extra 12kg of weight to play with on the paper?

A523 boat tail looks slimmer to me.
& the diffuser shape is different, with different kick lines & a steeper climb in '23.

& thx to my X-ray goggles, I think Alpine slimmed down the base of their GBox casing, thanks to the relocation of suspensions.
