This is a pretty amusing article because there are two scoops here (Stroll will be available this weekend, and Stroll had a broken wrist), and they're entirely mutually exclusive. If Stroll really did break a wrist, he'll be out for a couple of weeks at least. So, even if the article is credible, both of those statements can't be true at the same time. :?: If there's anyone who has a better understanding of how long a broken wrist takes to heal to be able to race again please correct me if I'm wrong!
Apparently he visited a well renowned specialist in Barcelona, I'm not an expert but maybe it will heal faster that way. Money can get you places

I don't understand why they try so hard to come back fast. Lewis did it in 2020 after his COVID, Albon did after his surgery and now Stroll appears to be desperate. They come back, do a sub par job and then give an excuse about their injury after a while. Is there a sense of insecurity going on with drivers?

Tbh, if Drugovic performs well, it would always be hanging over Lance. We know how the world works, media works, and if Lance is being pounded by mid season, everyone will point back to an impressive Drugovic performance, pinpointing that it is he who should be alongside Alonso. It would then create a distraction the team do not need mid season. In my opinion, Lance can’t afford to give that opportunity for Drugovic to impress, and irrespective of lacking full fitness, needs to be back in the seat.

The only way Lance would get into trouble is if Alonso was out, and Drugovich beat Lance in Bahrain.

Probably a multitude of reasons. Someone here mentioned it isn't in Lance's best interest to let Drugovich in the car. They also need his feedback as Alonso explained. Plus I'm sure he knows it's a pretty good car so Stroll can't wait to drive it.

Completely agree with this and I had posted something similar earlier.

For what it is worth, in the UK if a patient of mine had a fractured upper limb, the professional guidance is to withhold from driving for 6-8 weeks, and to inform the authorities (DVLA) if still unable to drive 3 months after the injury.

How it is possible to drive an F1 car and get extracted out in time or to risk a worse injury with a shunt is beyond my comprehension.

Edited due to a typo.

Alonso posted a picture on instagram of both, Drugovic and him training together, I think that's proof that he is on the seat until Lance is back.

Sure Lance will be in Bahrain. Wearing longsleeves in the desert sun, smiling at camera's because "he'll be back in Jeddah", telling everybody he feels great and Drugovic driving was "precautionary".

If Filipe is going too fast, they'll figure something out. Teamorders, limiting front flaps or tire pressure. They'll get creative.

Terrible decision. It wouldn't surprise me if he ends up near the bottom of the times in FP1 and then pulls out of the weekend.

Because car is redbull killer and stroll can see his dream of being richest world champion coming true.

So now that he's "fit" to race, do we know what actually happened? AMuS spoke to a few physical therapists in the paddock, and apparently, they were adamant that with a broken wrist, there would be no chance of him racing this weekend. It's all just so strange, especially now that he's been cleared, why not just come out and say what it was??

The same reason why they did not deny Vettel as replacement: people talk about AM. They seem to like that ;)

No to both. Let's be realistic: RB are in a league of their own. Enough has been written and said about Lance. 7 seasons in - the promise has been there on very rare occasion, but never consistently so.

With bigger mirrors now and a car that apparently is predictable and easy enough to drive, and with an Alonso pushing everyone to the maximum, it's time Stroll ups his game. And I think he will, once he gets up to speed he won't be too far away.
