I consider this season to be more exciting than previous ones where Ferrari walked away.
This year we have seen innovations never seen before, like the Double Deck Diffuser, and the production of KERS.
KERS can be said to be a racing failure, but a technical success. 35kg and 80hp is pretty amazing really.
What kind of innovations do you forsee from F1 cars moving to street cars? 20,000 rpm engines? Wings? Carbon fiber? What previous road car innovations are you talking about? I can't think of anything other then variable valve timing, which didn't need F1 to come about.
Race cars need different ideas then road cars, and KERS proved this I think, and Red Bull is now taking the fight to Brawn, and could be on track for an upset, unlike previous years where Ferrari was walking away, nobody was catching up.
