Formula 1 champion or "FOTA" champion?

Post

With the FIA FOTA split, will the title of "Champion" carry the same prestige after this? Other than Button, Rosberg, Nakajima and Sutil, will the rest of the F1 drivers like Massa and Vettel kiss their dream of Becoming a Formula 1 champion goodbye?

whoever wins the new series will be considered the legit "world champion", whoever wins the FIA-F1 will have a hollow title.

The rules for the Formula 1 have been changed constantly by the FIA.
There is no other motor sport that is so turbulent, because of rules that are changed constantly.

The F1 cars of 2009 are looking downgraded in comparison to 2008 and the years before. Formula 1 is looking so dull this year. You don't need to watch Formula 1 with avid attention, because Jenson Button is unshakable in his leading position.
If the results of the races will continue their way, it is very clear that Jenson Button will be the Formula 1 Champion of 2009.

The rules that are made by the FIA, are more for commercial and financial benefit, then for the F1 Teams.
The F1 Team are making the the Formula 1 and without the F1 Teams, there is no Formula 1. The F1 Teams are also having the fans. Without the fans, the advertisements and commercials are not valuable.
Without the F1 Teams, the FIA is noting else than a rule maker without a job.

In the last years the FIA has banished the innovation, that was part of the Formula 1 in the earlier years. Where is the innovation that was so important at the beginning of the Formula 1?

With the Break Away Series the innovation can get back to it's place in the Formula 1. Parts and applications that are very useful for car manufacturers can be tested on the Formula 1 cars, like it was before.
When innovation is back in the Formula 1, the car manufacturers can get value for their money and their laborings.

When the innovation is back into the Formula 1, it will be exciting again instead of dull. And when a sport is exciting to watch, the advertisements and commercials will have a greater value.

I consider this season to be more exciting than previous ones where Ferrari walked away.

This year we have seen innovations never seen before, like the Double Deck Diffuser, and the production of KERS.

KERS can be said to be a racing failure, but a technical success. 35kg and 80hp is pretty amazing really.

What kind of innovations do you forsee from F1 cars moving to street cars? 20,000 rpm engines? Wings? Carbon fiber? What previous road car innovations are you talking about? I can't think of anything other then variable valve timing, which didn't need F1 to come about.

Race cars need different ideas then road cars, and KERS proved this I think, and Red Bull is now taking the fight to Brawn, and could be on track for an upset, unlike previous years where Ferrari was walking away, nobody was catching up. :)
