It is hard to believe that if the Honda partnership materializes Alonso will be still there. I cannot imagine Honda ever forgetting being kicked in the balls when it was down.

Alonso staying until 2026 at least, I'd be extremely surprised he isn't at least a little bit interested in the new regs. Plus potentially winning a championship with his age in modern F1 is also something unprecedented, and someone like him would love that challenge. IF he wins it though then the chances of him retiring skyrocket in my opinion (he has mentioned leaving with a smile).

Fernando loves Japan and Japanese culture, but he has had quite a lot of bad luck with anything Japanese except Toyota. Honda side time heals all.
