The session before was free practice, quite different to QualifyingVanja #66 wrote: ↑04 Jun 2023, 12:34I don't want to get in your way. Please further enlighten us how the tyre temperature changes dramatically on one car of the 20-car grid and only on one side and after everything was OK in the session before with very similar track temperatures? Which side didn't get warm enough, I didn't get that, was it right or left side?Andres125sx wrote: ↑04 Jun 2023, 12:29Contrary to this post from you wich adds nothing to the discussion
So you think Perez car also had some mechanical problem? Fair question, please aswer
You think it´s a coincidence that Perez, known as one of the best drivers when we talk about tire managment, didn´t pass Q1 either?
As you look confused, I´ll explain. Right turns build heat on left tires. Lack of long, fast or demanding left hand corners make difficult to build temperature on right tires, so if almost all demanding corners are right hand, right tires will struggle to keep temperature
IMHO, this characteristic of Montmelo track, toghether with Perez and Lecrerc style wich is kind with tires, caused their right tires to be out of temperature, so neither of them passed Q1
I´ll be glad to hear your theory if you disagree with mine, but please, keep it technical
