lol Negative Norris was indeed downplaying expectations and it does indeed look like we are faster than he initially suggestedMacklaren wrote: ↑21 Jul 2023, 19:18https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/vide ... 09487.html
"Negative" Norris sounds pretty happy!
It looked like a relatively "easy" Q1 for McLaren if Norris did not have his lap deleted. Piastri was able to abort his last run as they realized they are safe.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:24Can't say it was such a good Q1 but both made it to Q2 though the car considering his cancelled lap time seems faster. Alfa Romeo is an interesting surprise. Daniel Ricciardo immediately demolished Tsunoda which was expected.
Alfa seems to be great on hard tyres. McLaren seems decent on mediums.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:30I suppose you are right. That Alfa might turn to be a surprising obstable for our 1st place battle with Max Verstappen.
I think you're watching a different car to me!Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:24Can't say it was such a good Q1 but both made it to Q2 though the car considering his cancelled lap time seems faster. I think the verdict is in.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:35What about Softs is the question. Can we repeat our speed on the mediums?
It seems better here than on the high speed corners, have you ever seen an upgrade so strong as this? I cannot in my life think of another upgrade as effective as this.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:38I think the verdict is in.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:35What about Softs is the question. The car is good.
Nonesense… Track limits are ok, if the driver is under steering is because he pushed too much on entry.Darth-Piekus wrote: ↑22 Jul 2023, 16:30I suppose you are right. That Alfa might turn to be a surprising obstable for our 1st place battle with Max Verstappen. It's so annoying seeing Track Limits and things when they could easily fix that adding sand or grass behind kerbs so drivers would have a different approach. You can't just punish a driver if the car understeers and goes outside limits while the drivers makes a directional correction.
