Why did Schumacher start 16th and Hill 8th?
What happened to them in qualifying?
As I recall, qualifying started out dry but rain engulfed the circuit before Schumacher could qualify. I believe Schumacher won the race. One of his best drives.adam2007 wrote:why did Schumacher start 16th and Hill 8th. what happened to them in quaily?
Just read your reply and then your signature quote from Dale Earnhardt. Hmm.DaveKillens wrote:It was an entertaining battle between Hill and Schumacher. But this was also a race where Schumacher's actions were questionable, and one more source of controversy. Schumacher was given a one-race suspended ban for driving aggressively in order to stop Hill from passing him.
Some may marvel at how Schumacher held off Hill, others were not so impressed by his blatant and dangerous blocking.
There is a vast difference between being a determined and fierce competitor and being one who is willing to place others at risk because of their selfishness. Dale Earnhardt was one of the very dirtiest (yet best) drivers of all time. Although I may quote him and admire his resolve, I do not condone dirty driving.FGD wrote:Just read your reply and then your signature quote from Dale Earnhardt. Hmm.

If only Glock could've done the same in Brazil last year...siskue2005 wrote:... and in the race, at one part MS was on Dry tyres and Hill on Wet tyres on a wet track .... and MS managed to defend Hill for more than 4 laps until the track turned dry![]()
