Apparently there was a defect with the wheel covers @ Spa and they were dented causing them to chew tyres. So that was a bit of an outlier

Yes and no, Lewis was very clearly impeded. But on the other hand, if you are there there is very little you can do.

Ham sucks at qualifying nowadays. Always just scraping by by the skin of his teeth. Always a "pleasant surprise" if by q3, he manages a decent position. No longer exceptional in the wet, and now beaten by Sar. Yeah... time to retire mboi

Drying track so its always about the final lap. In his final lap he was 0.22 faster then Perez after sector 2, then Yuki happened and he lost 0.5 s to Perez in sector 3. Should have made Q3 easily, but got unlucky.

He literally cost Hamilton Q3 and 7-10 grid places, by driving like a moron, despite numerous messages that Ham was coming. Could have just accelerated out of 13 or get the F out the way off the line.

The impeding on ham's best push lap didn't cost any time. No lift etc

They penalized tsunoda regardless of how much time it cost ham

I actually thought RB was making him look better than he is (like we’ve watched many times before), but clearly Max is a hell of a talent. 1.3 seconds over Checo? Dam. That’s Schumacheresque. Schumacher used to destroy his team mates no matter who they put against him at Benetton or Ferrari. We haven’t seen something like that since. I look forward to seeing the next driver RB hires.

Love to see Williams more competitive. F1 is a better series the better they do. Same with Macca. Great job from both teams. Merc team failed Lewis. Great job Russell. Ferrari is lost at sea. Sad. Shal will look back on his time at Ferrari and contemplate what might have been.

You have to have proper teammates for this to have any proper meaning really! Neither Perez nor Barrichello are proper teammates! Schumacher never even had a champion teammate (other than Rosberg at the end probably)…not to mention a whole team built around him!

Senna doing this thing to Prost and beating him by 1,5 seconds for example really is an achievement! Same goes for Jim Clark and Graham Hill and Lewis and Nico…!

Max isn’t doing anything special at the moment! He’s got the equipment and no opposition to do it! Back in 2021 even with an equally fast (many times faster) car he couldn’t even get more poles than Hamilton…

Classic Mercedes strategy under changeable conditions!

Always thinking only about performance without taking into account the most important thing! Traffic! They always send at least one of their drivers out into traffic and they end up getting eliminated…

Such a shame considering the pace Hamilton was supposed to have under dry conditions!
