somehow Perez also moved back up to 3rd, apparently
When the red flag was thrown, they go back a sector or something. Played a role in Australia 2023 and Silverstone 2022 red flags

Yes, when a race is red flagged, the lap before is taken for a restart.

Fix the barrier, send them out, do a rolling restart, don’t count pace car laps against race laps. What is the hold up.

Yes, perez got undercut in second round of stops.. who cares, dude is slow AF, allowed max to gain 13s in like 6 laps on inters which allowed this undercut to happen in the first place , had optimal strategy throughout the race apart from that, sent it into the wall (twice?)... but yes, that undercut is everything that hatters will cling on for the rest of time

Typical elongated out red flag. Painful these moments.

I don't understand why it takes so long to make a decision. you can literally see the track is almost dry

With the required notice time, they could have announced it already and by the time the notice time expires, the track will be dry.

And have another australia situation? Late standing starts are a bit silly

the rules allow the last detection point. But yeah, it was handled differently over the past years, sometimes mini sectors were used, sometimes not.
