Unbelievable really.
I mean, if Toro Rosso chooses not to attend the hearing, then FIA must act as Tsunoda's representative.
This is appalling beyond believe and a really, really bad look from RB. You've won both championships, you could totally afford to look chivalry here.
It is not a fair sport if one team runs with 4 drivers.

Teams were not required to declare on the FIA document the changes made to their car bodies (wings and bottom mainly) to meet the new requirements of the updated TD018 and TD039.
+1 thanks. We'll need shots of the car on a lift to help confirm things on our end. Now, they did report floor edge changes. Which could be downstream of floor changes they didn't have to report. Although I am still doubtful--teams were allowed to show up at this race (and this one only?) with potentially new floor geometry because of this TD? I wonder how the lines in the sands were drawn in all this regarding FIA protocol. "Central floor changes don't need to be reported but floor edge changes do, as usual." ?

<off topic removed>
Geometry changes needs to be reported , changes of material the parts are made of or changes in type of production , that are needed to meet the new TD's ( less flexing) doesn't need to be reported

Remember some of us had this theory especially at Zandvort. Yuki has been defending like a mother lion against red bull's rivals and has also parked his car questionably to benefit red bull a few times.
It's just impossible for Alpha Tauri to not have an interest in redbull's success.

But regarding flexing. Redbull has the same floor. It's the floor edge that was changed over. I think their troubles stem from the floor. Their suspension is quite fine. Martin Brundle and Karun have also shared that belief. Maybe the aero balance is hurting the tyre warm up, or it's just off, or the car isn't riding in it's sweet spot heights. This will not last long however, Newey et al. will tune it all to perfection for Suzuka.

Be sure to remember that for all teams.
That's a bit of a stretch isn't it?

How is getting the back end of the car off to completely change set up = "the car is fine after FP3" to then "remember that for all teams".

If all was well as you suggest we wouldn't be seeing this.

Maybe they got the data to improve into qualifying which is why they are doing a set up change. We'll see.
It turned out just like I said. I have an F1TV subscription. I watch the onboards and review the telemetry before I comment. I don't just grab the "news". When I reviewed Verstappen's laps from FP3, it was good, but missing a touch in T13 and T14, but still good enough to match Sainz everywhere on the track except those two corners.

The so called "changes" they made after FP3 that you pointed out butchered a decent but not perfect setup (which one could see by watching onboards....), and then they were not competitive with Ferrari almost anywhere.

Confirmed by Verstappen:

His complaining at the end of FP3 is just the usual driver looking for perfection which is not obtainable. Something some other drivers are familiar with...the comments after the session were exxageration. The car was in a good place at the end of FP3, and then they fiddled with it and made it much worse.
"I think FP3 was not too bad, but then we tried a few more things on the car for qualifying where it tipped it over to the car being undriveable again, where car was massively bottoming out in the braking zones and every time I wanted to brake deep and hard, my front wheels were getting unloaded.

"So, like I said on the radio, it was just a shocking experience because also just trying to lean on the car in low speed, just constantly no speed, no traction. Just really difficult to drive."

It will be very difficult to send someone from Toro Rosso to the stewarts.....Image

Did you read the article you posted?
.
The stewards noted AlphaTauri unusually chose not to send any team representation to their hearing on the incident between their driver and Verstappen.
Red Bull admitted they had failed to warn Verstappen about Tsunoda until he was almost alongside. The stewards handed Red Bull a €5,000 (£4,308) fine and gave Verstappen a second reprimand, a decision they said was consistent with previous decisions made for similar incidents this season.

Max should be careful, one more reprimand and he’ll receive a strongly worded letter

To be honest, I'm not surprised that he wasn’t penalized. What IS surprising is that the FIA didn’t conclude that it was Tsunoda’s fault and give Max a 3 place grid promotion.

Tsunoda might have been intimidating Max as well (as Sainz would say  ).

this was it, as far as I could see:

Ferrari did some medium fuel laps, 2s faster, so I didn't include them.
