Just like Haas! If even Haas can understand better the new package than Aston ,then is a serious problem...
Are Mercedes spinning the fan for the wind tunnel anti-clockwise when it should spin clockwise
I don't buy the failed upgrade narrative because in that case it's possible to bring an old spec to compare.
"It was a very close Qualifying session and we did not optimise things today.
"I don't think our grid positions reflect our true potential.
"During free practice, we suffered with overheating front brakes on both cars and resolving that issue cost us valuable preparation time.
"When it came to Qualifying, we were on the backfoot, and with such a tight grid it cost us. The final moments of the session were not ideal with queuing in the pitlane. It was then all quite rushed, with the clock ticking down, and that impacted the preparation of their final laps.
"We can do better and we have to."
I was thinking more about before the race. Don't think they learned much from the 3 laps on Softs. After the sprint shootout and race, they might have learned enough to effectuate a change or atleast a test.
Was it ever in doubt?
It wasn't, Peter was always better, just that he was sidelined while Key was at McL and didn't provide much input. That's why they decided to change the technical structure.
