Considering how little grip they had today, Las Vegas is going to be a farce.

Thank you!

Is there enough time for 2 runs in SQ3? Otherwise I don’t see the point of Ver and Nor saving so many sets of softs.

Verstappen's recent performances are reminiscent of Hamilton's performances in similar conditions over the previous decade-and-a-half when he dominated in these conditions in a whole range of cars. If I recall correctly, the general consensus at the time was that it was always down to the car? It's unfortunate for Verstappen that his recent dominance happens to coincide perfectly with his car being a second faster than the rest of the field, but it's good that those who were sure it was the car previously have, coincidentally, changed their views to recognise the skills of the driver are what counts in these conditions.
Hamilton has never performed anywhere near this level.
Behave. Hamilton has had countless examples. Austria he out qualified everyone by over a second, and in Turkey. Incredible drives in Silverstone and that brilliant pole lap in Singapore. I could go on.

Max is on his way to being one of the greats, but it’s nonsense making out that what he’s doing is beyond anything we’ve seen historically.

About tyres it seems hard is not favourable. RB had a decent stint with it in fp1 but ham had a lot of deg on the hard. Probably the same up and down the grid based on comments from Pirelli
Simone Berra, Pirelli's Chief Engineer says: "From what we have seen, the C2 does not seem favourite for race use, because it has shown far from negligible degradation, triggered by the low level of grip leading to the cars sliding a lot."

as short as the track is, there would probably be enough time, but it's only allowed to use one set per segment. So if anyone wants to do a 2nd run in SQ3, it needs to be on the same tire.

And I guess they planed to do a 2nd run in Q3 initially, as usually? So they are only left with two new sets because of the rain.

The same Interlagos in 2016 seemed to prove the opposite I'd say .. if not for the wrong call for Intermediates he'd easily won that race.

This is 100% on FIA. I have no particular sympathy for RUS but it was totally obvious this was going to happen in Mexico after their unreasonably stupid ruling, following an also bad ruling in Singapore.

It seems like there really is no saving grace for these clowns.

Unlikely. Hamilton had too big a gap if I recall. The general consensus, however, is that he clearly would have beaten Rosberg.

Classic FIA ruling these years!

A violation happens at a race! The violation is worth a penalty but:
-Is Verstapen involved?
1. No! Alright let’s hand penalties!
2.Yes! Alright let’s change the rule from the next race onwards and then hand penalties!

And what if Verstapen happens to violate the new rule? Alright we’ll just change the rule again because it seemed unreasonable in the end!

This isn’t coincidence anymore…

Meanwhile Verstapen himself went on the grass at racing speed to overtake at the pit exit! This could have been a nasty crash! But as always no need to investigate anything! Just laugh in social media and say how exciting it was… =D>
