And why? There is a big why here, you risk a crash for what? You are champion 200+ points ahead from the second and you do this? I want to believe it was a brainfart moment from him.
Before some races FIA penalised Hamilton because walked through the track, ofcourse Hamilton is not suicidal and saw no-one was coming and did it and he penalised for this by the book, but the FIA started to say and some other people also that "what example he gives to the youngsters etc". Now Max is giving the example of the pizza boy with the Vespa that no matter what, i don't brake and i don't care for the risk i put myself or the others. Nice.

This shows Max's view. Tons of white flags (Slower moving vehicle ahead) and he is speeding up.

Why nobody protest this?
Because nothing happened that is in conflict with the regulations. White flags are not yellow flags. You're no obliged to slow down on a white flag.

Had there been a collision, the white flag would likely be a contributing factor regarding who is at fault though.

What has Alonso got to do with Ocon oversteering and ending up crashing into him??? 😂😂

Ocon onboard. Tank slapper and clipped Alonso. I think Ocon owes Fernando an apology for that.

those mediums seem to be difficult to manage, especially now with low grip. Many struggled to improve on a 2nd lap.

Ocon already went too hard into turn 1. He was catching his car ever since and had a moment in turn 3. This is not on Alonso. Unfortunate he was there.

Yep most didn't improve. Only Norris improved of the top guys which basically means he must have had a big mistake or was really conservative on the first lap. Norris really should be on pole today.

Norris also did a double cool down lap, contrary to Piastri, for example, who struggled a lot.

He has a good chance but imho it will be close. Yesterday in q2 Max did fresh-used and norris used-fresh and there was a lot of evolution so that gave Norris an advantage.

Did Ocon lose it trying to avoid Nando though, I think that’s what he’ll say.

Oh wow, it seems there was a conflict with the regulations after all!

On a push lap and nando not anywhere near the racing line. Seems a pretty bad excuse if that is what he’s going to use. He tank slaps trying to carry the speed on the curb.

Ocon was full right lock about 1.5 car lengths behind Alonso. He was never going to make that corner. Alonso was just unfortunately in the wrong place.

Pause the video I posted at the full right lock and see the positions of both cars.
