Verstappen threw sprint pole in turn 4, lost 0.1 to perez and almost to 0.2 to norris there, but then I guess Norris also didnt have a perfect lap elsewhere. Mclaren is marginally faster on un-DRSed straights.
Norris lost a couple of tenths out of T2 down to t4 easily

I feel Alonso should have been more to the right and away from the racing line. Not in the middle of the track. Both have some fault

Was Verstappen allowed to overtake those 2 cars in the pit Lane before the white line in SQ3?
That part of the track isn't the pit lane. Pit lane ends after the line at the traffic light at the end.

That part (between the pit lane exit and the SC2 line) is considered part of the racing track, and as such, overtaking is perfectly legal. Vettel famously overtook two cars (entering the pits) during the 2016 Chinese GP. At the time, there was a safety car out, but the two cars forgot that no overtaking doesn't apply when entering or leaving the pits.

Regarding the Alonso/Ocon crash, which we discussed a lot on the Discord: I watched it in slow-motion, and Ocon lost control of his car before Alonso did his little move slightly to the left.

I'd be surprised if anyone is penalised. Alonso could have been a bit more to the right on the track, but there was space, and Ocon lost control of his car by his own fault.

I was referring to the Ferrari and Alpha Tauri he overtook before the green light?

Better angle of the Alonso/Ocon crash. The video clears Alonso IMO. This is all on Ocon.

Of course overtaking is allowed in the pitlane. Happens 100s of times per weekend, when cars pull over at their position.

How is it all on ocon? You have to question why Alonso was so slow in t1 and 2, and why he'd choose to move over just there, it's just a bit stupid of him. Causing a distraction in an already tricky traction zone

Interestingly, you actually see a McLaren get the exact same slide just before Ocon does. Alonso slowing down that much on corner exit where cars were clearly prone to oversteer moments was stupid.

Not relevant for determining blame. He gave Ocon plenty of space, and Ocon losing control of his car is always going to be on him.

I don't think he did give Ocon enough space, Ocon was too busy watching Alonse that the fluffed the apex.

But it was Ocon's mistake so they both share the blame

“OCO lost the balance of the car”

Yet Ocon in his interview afterwards insisted that he did not lose the balance of the car and it was all Alonso’s fault!

I still can’t figure out how it’s Alonso’s fault! Any clues?? Probably Ocon’s ego doesn’t let him realize his mistake…
