The relative pace differences were enormous. The slow deg on the RB19 is frightening. Only if you can keep them behind so they suffer following will they struggle otherwise they’ll be checking out. VER and NOR on another planet pace wise

AT are the 3rd quickest car in the sprint.

My prediction for tomorrow is Max-Norris-Leclerc

Mercs are gonna get shuffled back. They had degradation issues in FP1 and never solved them.
Max-Nor-Per for me. Perez was still well clear on pace of anyone outside of Norris and Verstappen even after murdering his tires against the Mercs.
It doesn't turn.

Watching Perez breeze past the Mercs and remembering that some guys were saying yesterday that Max got pole in the 3rd fastest car... hahahaha

Norris will not win the F1 WDC by yielding every corner to Verstappen.

Shame we now know everyone's relative pace for tomorrow. Merc are not competitive, and in turn Ferrari will race AMR
Not necessarily. The AT was on new softs. Ferrari actually had decent deg, at least better than the Merc for a change, but i do not see them bothering the podium tomorrow. Verstappen-Perez-Norris will likely be up there.

Red Bull seems to have massively improved their starts, to be fair. But yeah, especially Norris' post race comments were pretty disappointing to hear.

Going by the Alpha Tauri pace, those new softs seem to come with quite an advantage over the stint. Will be interesting to see how that works out tomorrow.

It's almost tragic how quickly Verstappen kills all hope at the first corner. You have to make him pass on a racing lap for christ sake!  .

Agreed.
Seems to me after listening to Norris post race after the sprint that he doesn’t believe he can beat Verstappen this season on pure race pace so doesn’t seem to put up much of a fight- where as when Norris is racing any of the other 18 drivers he fights them because he believes he is faster.
Just a fan's point of view

Quite a lot of battling, nice sprint.

Gotta say Hamilton was very disappointing today, no pace, I thought he was saving tires in the beginning but then he fell of a cliff while Russell could keep going(ish).

Great start by Max, not much Norris could do at any point.

Very telling for tomorrow. 2 stoppers and some might need 3 or a very long SC stint.

Ver-Nor-Lec or per for me n the podium.

Will be a huge points weekend for the Perez vs Lewis in the WDC. Will hopefully make up for Mexico. Ill be over the moon if checo can increase the points gap form 24 to over 30 tomorrow. Should help him a LOT in the WDC with 2 races left.

If sprint races are here to stay, I dont think we will see to much more of Verstappen in F1. He seems to be very critical of it and has said that he would race something else in the future. If he isnt satisfied with the race format, he might go to other series sooner rather than later. Series that doesnt have that "show-before-race" factor to it that F1 is venturing into now with sprints. Would be quite damning for F1 if Verstappen would walk sooner than his 2028 contract.

Decent sprint, but as has been said, the story looks to have been told. Sunday drive for Max.
