Yeah, I noticed that. His S2 and S3 were on par with Charles' during those runs while S1 kept increasing. If he really had deg, S2 likely would've fallen off a cliff IMO.

You mean in quali sim?jambuka wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 22:27What about on softs ?Xyz22 wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 22:22https://i.ibb.co/5R2xqsz/Screenshot-202 ... -Tempo.png

Yes. Particularly compared to HAM. Seems LEC top speed was low
Top speed is also lower than his quali sim in testing day 3 with C4 tyres, but the difference is much smaller compared to the difference i highlighted for the long runs.
RB and Ferrari were running significantly lower power PU than Mercedes in Q sim, while R sim was "only" one step lower v Mercedes. Today confirmed Ferrari ran their PU in race sim in testing at most 1 step above RB, while entire F1 "pundit" community claimed "severely detuned RB PU" RB were smart to hide their pace in corners as well, aiming for low deg instead, but hey - why should pundits make an effort to connect the dotsXyz22 wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 22:22https://i.ibb.co/5R2xqsz/Screenshot-202 ... -Tempo.png

Vanja what do you think about the braking? It seems that both Charles and Carlos are still trying to figure out how to maximize performance in this area. The usual suspect online are saying that is because of the new anti dive front suspension, but you and other users here highlighted that is not the case IIRC (that the SF 24 has a more anti dive suspension or whatever that means).Vanja #66 wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 22:33RB and Ferrari were running significantly lower power PU than Mercedes in Q sim, while R sim was "only" one step lower v Mercedes. As you said + it's a new car with different priorities and compromises. I highlighted last year that RB likely knowingly traded off some braking performance in exchange for more stable front end while the car is loaded and cornering, but it didn't really catch up.Xyz22 wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 22:38Vanja what do you think about the braking? My opinion is that the SF 23 was just excellent in that area and the new car probably feels very different, so it will require a bit of time to adapt.
