Sargeant should not be an F1 driver unfortunately. Get Lawson in that seat.
Should be in Perez seat tbh.

Looking at the lap-times is a bit crazy compared to 2023. RB19 would get P9.

Haas is only a tenth away from pole of last year.

One would expect that a car that was so victorious would have a bigger margin.....

Imagine if Steiner was fired years ago where HAAS would be today.🤯

Ferrari had enough for pole didn't get it because of using too many sets of softs.
The rules sometimes create these problems.
today it's not the rules to blame though, but the team. There was no need at all to go for a 2nd run in Q1
Charles even said that...

Charles will always happily blame the team for his own under performance. Sainz showed the car had 1:29.9 in it on the first run on softs in Q1.They wouldn't have put Charles on new tires if he set a little bit better lap.

If he had put a better banker he wouldn’t have need to go out again. They were right to send him out as potentially the track evolution was big enough for him to be out. You can’t risk that.

And then he did a wing change based on the lower grip slightly worn tires and you are chasing your own tail that last lap when the grip comes your way on the new ones.

the lap wasn't great, but good enough to still finish 7th in Q1, half a second clear of not making the cut.

Of course, it's easy to say in hindsight, but I don't think there ever really was the potential of the track improving this much.

The car was literally designed under his leadership
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

I love every driver saying they made mistakes in Q3 like that is supposed to change things.

I thought they were. Until it very quickly became clear there wasn’t thát much ramp up. But last yearned somtimes saw it to be enormous.

All these drivers are the same, pure winners, and Charles mostly is reasonable. But when they don’t go and the ramp up is too big every puts the blame at the pitwall, it seemed a bit too easy. Allthough he was right ofcourse.

Yuki outperformed Daniel in the first quali of the year. It seems, Yuki is going to save Perez's seat at RB.

All first sector.
And not even all of sector 1. Charles was down 0.36s by the end of T1 (0.13 due to Max's tow, the rest a poor exit for LEC) and he pulled it back to a 0.23 gap by end of the lap. Ferrari still has the pace in Q; we'll see how they wear tyres tomorrow and the 2nd lap DRS could make things fun.

After this qualifying, I'm pretty sure, still not 100 percent, but I completely understand Hamilton's decision to move to Ferrari. I have almost no doubt why he will drive for Ferrari next season.
