Wasn't Russell given the go ahead to race when LEC came to pass him? When he came out of the pits he also put in several purple laps. Even if this 0.4s/lap deficit exists, it wasn't throughout the race but likely on some laps specifically.Luscion wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 20:08Why doesnt it add up? even Zak Brown said he saw Merc were struggling with their PU, the Williams was also overheating. Lewis and George are pretty realistic with their performances and issues, if it were just Toto saying it i'd be more skeptical, Russell was the one who said RB could win every race last season and he was on the money.
Max's engine overheated in Monza last year when the temperature was around 24c. its also more than just not opening enough louvers on the carHammerfist wrote: ↑02 Mar 2024, 20:12How can you have cooling issues when it’s 19 degrees C? This is not the first time they’re making these rookie errors either. There is something rotten in that team and it needs to be taken out. Ferrari is the same. They all are making stupid errors and letting Redbull get away from them. It’s almost like it’s scripted that Max has to win every friggin race until he gets to Hamilton’s number. How many championships he has to win before everyone remembers how to win again? This is ridiculous. The cars are not only subpar but the execution of the race team leaves so much to be desired. You just don’t hear those blatant mistakes coming from Redbull ever.
But presumably they are not going to run their leanest cooling package for many races this year... I'd imagine this is for Vegas, Spa and Monza.
