You'd think Max would be within that circle and he would have publicly backed Horner and kept his dad in line. Thinking about it more a suspension, as opposed compassionate leave, generally means it's the employers choice not the employees. It could be that she wanted to attend this GP weekend and the company have chosen to prevent that by suspending her.
