Lewis managed to hunt a Red Bull from lap 32 all the way until the few final laps of the race on a track thats very hard to overtake on and people are still complaining about Merc, had Piastri not gotten damage and given Perez drs Lewis would have likely been able to pass him in a couple laps

The most shocking thing for me was Russell getting dropped by Tsunoda. I need to hear the explanation for that one. Ham showed the car can have pace once in a blue moon. Wit that said it's the same pattern that they have shown in the past with being fast on lighter fuel.

He wouldn't have passed PER unless PER made a mistake.

Mercedes was horrible out of slow corners and would lose too much time prior to the DRS activation.

Hamilton is definitely slower than Russell atm.
Not today he wasn't.
Happy to be proven wrong  great race from Hamilton apart from locking up after passing nico his medium stint was fantastic. He had a great balance from what i saw onboard. Russell just went missing on the hards unfortunately, just couldn't get them to work.

One ray of sunshine for the team. Lando has shown that the engine is up to winning, its the other parts that are the problem
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

It all seems like a familiar story where Lewis sets up his car more for the race than qualy. He always seems to be faster than George in the Race than in Qualifying. George had no pace at all today on both hard and medium.

Hopefully the reports/rumors are true that Merc are bringing a big upgrade package to Imola and maybe it makes them competitive enough to start grabbing podiums again

Again, this only applies if they actually are upgrades in reality.

They have shown time and time again the last three years to have correlation issues, so it’s not a given.

I could be wrong but iirc every upgrade they brought last year worked like the wind tunnel and sims said it would, the issues were mostly that the car just had an extremely narrow setup window, the sim related to the setup of the car and the rear end issues they said was fundemental to the car, the W14 performed very well towards the end of the season in races like Signapore, Vegas, Qatar, COTA etc

They've brought forward most of that package to Miami (reprofiled floor and floor edges, revised front wing and front suspension).

Dont believe so, Lewis said this was just a small upgrade they brought this weekend. The changes this weekend was a reduced chord on the front wing that was track specific, a small tweak to the track rod angle of the front suspension and the floor edges. their rumored upgrade includes a new floor and a new rear wing

Mercedes’ upgrade in Miami will reportedly come with changes to the floor, above and below, to correct the flow pattern and stabilise the aero map of the W15 at certain speed ranges. The detachment of the fluid vein is present, it seems, an aspect that greatly reduces the performance of the car. What's more, "corrections" will come in the central part of the single-seater, side pod area, with a probable necessary re-shaping to gain a few more cubic centimeters in the undercut area. apparently,

It remains to be seen whether the multi-award-winning stable will introduce the new rear wing that has been in the works for some time. From the info gathered, we know that it is an upgrade capable of maximizing the load at the rear related to the beam-wing configuration, a context that is imperfect at the moment, as the combined work of the two current components is not as effective as it should be. Mercedes is ready to implement a step with which it would like to unlock some of the unexpressed potential and, of course, widen the car's tuning window.

Hamilton has the teeth on the team. As much criticism as he gets, George cannot make wine out of water like Lewis does.
This weekend in Miami was promising.
Fighting spirit in the sprint, and elite craft to navigate some tough competition in the race and chasing down Perez. A strong weekend for Lewis. He just needs a better car to get back into his driving god mode. Lol.
Russel was nowhere, but he did have a much better qualifying as usual.
The car deserately needs upgrades. It has potential when its in the right window. Still lakcs top speed too.
Russel just 10 points ahead of Lewis. This will soon evaporate in the next 5 races.
Russel is talented but just doesnt seem to know how to lead the development direction from a driver's perspective. He is just driving to outqualify Lewis race by race.
For Sure!!

Hamilton was about 0.5s/lap slower than Norris despite being on the better tyre post-SC.

Mercedes has a lot of ground to make up, in particular through and out of slower corners.

Disappointed with starting on H and not going long. What’s the point? He could’ve come out in the PIA/SAI fight had they pitted under the safety car, maybe even ahead.
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

Depends on how many laps Norris had on the tyre vs Lewis.
I feel that fresh tyre and Norris having the time for the SC to catch up and then the restart gave Lando the perfect tyre prep compared to others who put their tyres on earlier.
For Sure!!
