Kimi rarely interacts with anyone in public at the track, that's why he's got the "iceman" nickname. I wouldn't read anything into that.

You can take Nico at McLaren to the bank, I'd say. Norbert is so keen to get him he will pay top dollars and sweeten the deal. Nico will go the risk of driving against Hamilton if the money is right.

If Massa recovers Kimi will be out of Ferrari. What he is showing them now is what he is capable of with proper support. Ferrari must have screwed him up by their internal policies in the last year I think. They demotivated him with this internal bullshitting.

Nico would be stupid to goto McLaren... McLaren have more or less given 99% of their support to Hamilton. When ever you hear Whitmarsh speaking about McLaren they only ever refer to Hamilton..

So Nico going to McLaren would have to accept number 2 status, and unless he beat Hamilton in every race upto Europe in 2010 would more than likly be asked to support him in his championship bid.

For me I still dont understand why Ferrari signed Kimi till 2010. At the time of the signing his performace was crap, and was stunned when they announced they re-signed him.

Definetly not.
It is a british-german team with a driver from both countrys so they will have
give both of them an equal support.
Going to McLaren is the best thing Rosberg can do now because
staying at Williams makes no sence for him.
Together with Williams he will always be one of the midfield drivers.

My sinopsis as per usual:

Brawn: Button/Davidson
Red Bull: Webber/Vettel
Ferarri: Alonos/Massa
McLaren: Hamilton/Rosberg
Toyota: Kimi/Glock
Williams: Hekki/Hulkenberg
Renault: Kubica/Grosjean
Force India: Liuzzi/Sutil
STR-Ferarri: Buemi/Algusuari
USF1: (Unconfirmed)
Manor: (Unconfirmed)
Campos: (Unconfirmed)
BMW Sauber: (Still to be saved??? - If not, each team will take a straw poll for each race on whitch 2 teams will run 3 cars at whitch race)

On the Market: Heidfeld, Trulli, Bourdais, Piquet & Nakajimma from this years F1 crop. Di Grasi, Petrov, Maldonado, Parente & Filippi from GP2. De La Rosa from McLaren Test & Reserve driver posistion. Villneuve as a un-natached. Barrichello (altho he may choose to retire from F1 and become a Brawn GP "special consultant" like what Schumi and DC are to Ferarri and RB.

I agree with you that it is best for him to move to McLaren as he's been doing very well . But i quite don't ger your second statement . He's been on the points for eight races now . Some positive developments for the team will definitely see him on the podium .
Just waiting for the Williams glory days to be back again [-o<

Once they ditch the Toyota RVX-09 and get the Renault RS27 that Red Bull have im shure that will help them massivly. I think that Mercedes will have 3 customer teams and one works team on the grid next year.

Thats when i can see the glory days of thw Williams-Renault partnership coming to become the thing of beauty again.

dont you see his avatar? that is Kimi himself, speaking in the 3rd.

anyone know how much Kimi's option was for 2010? I know the original contract was around 150M US for 3 years.

If each team has the option of running that third car next year, we could see Hamilton, Kimi and Rosberg in a Macca, which will leave Schumi, Massa and Alonso for Ferrari :)

The last thing to happen to F1 is third cars for the so called top teams. It is Monties wet dream and nothing more. In the rules debate all teams have a voice and one objection will kill any short term proposal. The lower and mid grid teams would be crazy not to object.

I will eat a wooly hat if Kimi drives at McLaren instead of Nico. Kimi got the sack and only an unfortunate outcome for Massa can avoid that. Kimi at Toyota would make a bit more sense but I even doubt that. Why should a guy with enough money do stupid F1 sponsor stunts if he hates it. He can drink all he wants and drive exciting Rally cars if he wants it for fun.

Let's not forget that the usually cool Kimi may have a difficult time dealing with Ferrari's italian culture of politics, power struggles and latin emotion. McLaren's clean, rational, unemotional culture has always looked to me as his perfect match.

Um...Ron Dennis wasn't exactly the most laid back guy to run an F1 team...this culture you speak of, has it all started in the past few months?

How 'bout the whole Hamilton "The team told me to lie" fiasco?

I remember Kimi mentioned being 'happy' to leave McLaren. Talking bout corporate coulture, DC grew a beard once he left Woking, Alonso first got his hair cut short right after coming to McLaren, but then suddenly he quits shaving in mid 2007 right after his relationship with the team and Hamiltons went wrong... in protest? Hamilton used to have hair in GP2. Probably he used to have a personality and/or own opinion too, who knows?

Ron is a demon barber of Fleet street, and Kimi is looking more and more like his hero James Hunt. Perfect match? I don't think so.

If there's any team that suits the finns attitude it must be Red Bull.
