Is taking out 12 bhp above 250kph in a track like LeMans a BoP boost now?

it's just a nice moral boost for everyone at Ferrari I guess, it was same last year. I hope Spanish gp will be warm and sunny i think I've had enough races in rain. totally not a fan of it.

Maybe deserving of it's own team thread, given the interest obviously shown here.

Perfectly valid pride in Ferrari achievement in my view.

Also, remember both Schumacer and Frentzen came into F1 through WEC championship driving as MB juniors I recall.

Hopefully SF will understand their Canadian drop in absolute pace comparison, to then be more competitive in the upcoming GP.

According to what Formu1a.uno has learned, there is a 99% chance that both drivers will have the new floor specification available on Friday. Additionally, we should see changes to the rear bodywork, tray area and ramps towards the diffuser, as well as improved small deflector elements.

Especially when this thread is for the F1 team. I don't want to read about WEC here when there are also WEC threads.

That sounds like full package that should have arrived at Silverstone. Not impossible to rush a big part of a package, but it has to be set forward more than 2 weeks earlier. Or Maranello made a crash course in carbon fibre lay-up for all employees and borrowed a few autoclaves from automotive production facility

On another point, do we think we'll see a different rear wing in Barcelona? In 2022, they used a mid-high-load wing on Friday, but settled for high-load wing for Saturday and race. In 2023 they used the mid-high-load wing entire weekend, but we know SF23 was front limited and had to reduce rear load on a few tracks. My bet is still Monaco wing with new Canada beam wing, rear tyres need saving and going for a one-stop would give a big advantage.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Charles seemed fairly confident on these upgrades the last time he spoke about them. Things could get very spicy in Spain!

Given that RBR has an upgrade planned and Spain being a more traditional track, i would still expect them to be ahead. More interested in where Ferrari would stack up against McLaren.

Yeah, considering sunny weather and high temps, safe option looks like the best option

That would mean just one month between big upgrade packages. Impressive if they can do it without compromise.

from fromula uno stream:

- Ferrari anticipates most of the new parts from Silverstone to Barcelona, but not completely. There will be new parts at Silverstone. In Maranello, they are also working on another major new package that will arrive later in the season (work on other areas of the car, more information to come after Barcelona).

- The forthcoming updates should help Ferrari to combat the problem of tire warm-up, but they won't eliminate it completely, as it's also a limitation of the car. So, they have to reduce this problem as much as possible, but it's a feature that should remain until the end of the season.

- Ferrari's new floor in Barcelona should help increase the SF-24's load and aerodynamic efficiency. The aim will also be to improve the car's behavior in slow corners.

The afternoon, when the race and qualifying will be, still looks hot and dry. Lets hope it stays that way :)

Does anyone think Barcelona will be when we see the real sf-24 unleashed? Seems like all prior races they have one thing or the other which the team did not get right.
