How the anti-stall can switch off engine?

We are super screwed if this bouncing is here to stay. .66% off the leaders is awful.

No words, Leclerc's luck is a joke
That isn't luck. It's the team's incompetence- "everybody waits, let's wait too".
Execution matters - these kind of things are 0 cost low hanging fruit. Getting simple things right first.

You can't plan every qualifying session around maybe losing 10s to an engine issue. Just like you can't plan race strategy around an occasional pitstop gaff

Maybe some kind of software issue within the car? It seemed like the moment the anti-stall engaged, the entire thing just shut down.

I wonder how easy it is to fix something like that versus if it was an issue with the physical PU?

Now it’s pretty clear to me why Cardille is leaving. He knew the upgrades are not going to go well. If he really believed they are on course to be a championship contender he would stick around.
The guy cashed in right before he was about to start being questioned for his work.

IMO we will see the same with Vasseur if things don’t work out soon. I predict 2026 new tp

So many people here love Ferrari so much that they even love the Ferrari approach: fire everyone and get new people every year! And they are left scratching heads and wondering why aren't they winning :)

Before this year Ferrari kept the same Technical Structure since 2019 more or less.

Cardile has been the de facto TD since 2019. Sanchez was head of aero till the end of 2022.

Competitive cars (capable of winning the WDC) since 2019? Zero.

I wasn't able to follow live so I watched the replay from f1tv and boy that was not really good. Looks like they have a lot more downforce but wing generated which penalized the top speed.

Last 12 months were good, I do think this last update was a dud. Hopefully they can figure something out for the real race.

Cardile wasn’t fired, Vasseur thought that Serra is better and Cardile felt it was time to go.

Cardile’s record as TD isn’t that great, is it?

According to Donadoni, the car was not expected to create bouncing at these speeds, meaning they likely produced more downforce than they thought. The Barca floor is a dud, a new one is needed ASAP.

Considering that Leclerc was hopeful after sim work this week, i have the feeling that bouncing didn't appear there.

Are the upgrades not working or the chassis not responding? Or is there a difference?

This is really interesting because one would think that more DF from the floor is actually a good thing, but you are saying that it isn't?
