Oscar overtakes for the lead and has Leclerc in his DRS for almost the rest of the race, but the wild take is that Norris helped him win it by holding up Perez for a little bit?

C'mon man, this is getting way overboard now.
Depends if you think that holding up Perez helped at all. I think most see that it did, so not sure what the argument woukd be?

Is this new, or people just looking more?
That wing is relatively new IIRC. Brought in Spa this year.

Sainz not clever. But brilliant for us.
Perez fault not sainz
Nah. Neither does much by steering input. Sainz does drift to the left into Perez but why on earth doesn't Perez move a little?

Just seems like they were both being dozy. But it is Ssinz that drifts.

It'll be a racing incident I'm sure.

Before Oscar overtook Charles, Checo was just about to be within Oscar's pit stop delta, Lando crawled through the castle section almost getting overtaken by Checo, this gave Oscar the gap to beat the undercut and go after Charles, so yes, Lando helped Oscar win.

Mclaren flexing both the front and rear wings- they are on fire =D>

The other teams are scrambled to catch up with one thing whilst Mclaren are making gains elsewhere =D>

Can't really confirm if the same behavior is visible at Spa because a McLaren never spent time defending there so we didn't see much of the rear wing in the live broadcast. Maybe someone with F1TV has access to the rear camera and can check?

I doubt it's blatantly illegal though. If it was on the edge, they would have at least talked with the FIA about it to clarify before putting resources into it. I don't think they're that stupid to put something that would make the car illegal and give the FIA ground for disqualification in the midst of a title fight.

At worst we may have the FIA intervene and disallow it in the future and they will be forced to not use it anymore.

Correct decision. Stupid to penalize him for congratulating other cars when the race was effectively over.

I don’t know what people expected here, drop positions, race ban, solitary confinement till 2025?

It was never going into that direction.

Obviously I wasn't expected him to be punished. After all if he wasn't raced banned by his antics at Austria I dont see how congratulating other drivers could get him punished.

Mclaren summoned to the stewards

McLaren is fined €5,000 for team personnel being in pit lane during the race.
No big deal.
It’s ridiculous how the team members can’t climb the walls anymore to celebrate all because some photographers and some FIA personnel themselves entered the ‘live’ lane of the pit lane and started to block it off when Ocon needed to pit on the last lap.
It seems to me that the FIA are punishing the teams for their own incompetence

I just went back and had a look, exactly the same thing happening on Oscars rear wing at Spa
