Palmer said during the race that Leclerc would have been the only one who could have put up a fight against Norris had he started up front.
Only p2, with good quali? I think the car and Charles could do better.
Palmer is right, but Ferrari sabotaged themselves in qualifying.
That Hul-Alo-Lec train killed a podium, and Hulk created a huge gap to the leaders.deadhead wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 15:56Yeah HUL really cost him 3rd todaybananapeel23 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 15:53Good drive from Leclerc. Shame his lap was deleted, because I think he would have gotten at least a p3, probably p2 if he started ahead of the midfielders.
This was always going to happen guys.Sevach wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 16:22That Hul-Alo-Lec train killed a podium, and Hulk created a huge gap to the leaders.deadhead wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 15:56Yeah HUL really cost him 3rd todaybananapeel23 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 15:53Good drive from Leclerc. Vasseur also confirmed they are bringing upgrades to Austin.About yesterday, I want to say something more. Obviously, the tires weren't in the right temperature, but if I hadn't gone straight into T1 that would've helped a lot. It was my mistake, I wasn't clear yesterday and I didn't send the right message so I want to be clear now I was at fault too.
Useless statements. Even if he didn't make the mistake he would have qualified like p7 with those tyres.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 16:29Leclerc's interview with Sky just now about Q3:

It was a strong possibility, but if somehow we end up with the reverse, with Alonso 1.5 ahead of Hulk, Charles DRS on Hulk and then later Alo... things could've progressed differently from there.
But to be fair, Charles made a mistake at the start following Alonso, without that mistake he could have got behind Hulk, overtaken him and fought for the podium.
Pipe dream. He was divebombed by Colapinto.
I think it's because the updates, and the car has become good enough to fight the McLaren rocketship, of course we'll wait for Austin as confirmation, but there is a thought that with our suspension we are much more sensitive to temperature changes than the competitors.
Leclerc qualifying P7 would have put him on the podium. Suddenly he's only behind Hulkenberg and can breeze by him fairly quickly since there isn't a DRS train. That lets him put pressure on the Mercs immediately and perhaps even make a pass before the pit stops.Xyz22 wrote: ↑22 Sep 2024, 16:34Useless statements. Also the mistake was the result of having cold tyres. Leclerc quali was completely doomed.
