Another problem for me is that both drivers loose their confidence with this kind of behavior from the car.
Russell is younger ok he risks more but this situation must be resolved soon.

The team will be able to compare the packages back to back in Mexico since only one of drivers will have them equipped. There will be 3 FP
sessions too, so maybe they can dial out some of the potential problems. What surprised me the most, is that they haven’t developed the diffuser further apart from slimming down the rear keel/crash structure and adding the two bulges on each top corner. No surface/roof profiling or anything. That 1 year knowledge gap is showing..

Earlier this year (although not officially confirmed yet), Antonelli was announced to replace Hamilton for FP1 in Mexico, and FP2 is a tire test session, so there may actually not be too much time to really evaluate things.

- Formula 1 extends practice session in Mexico: FP2 to last 90 minutes

yes, with 2025 tires, and a run plan provided by Pirelli. No DRS, no setup adjustments etc.

Only drivers that didn't do FP1 are allowed to do normal practice stuff for the final 30 minutes.
