For me the car looks like intelligent choices were made by taking solutions that worked well up and down the grid. Hopefully they can nail the launch spec car again (as they essentially did the last 2 years) and not get lost with development this time
Hopefully new sim, windtunnel and Newey arriving in one week will help Aston to develop a car within the season for once... [-o<

You can sleep soundly about the seasonal development, the problem is where it starts. If you lose too many points at the beginning, if you are not competitive, they will focus everything on 2026

That front suspension gives me nightmares, even more curved
Well, what you see is only the outer aero cover, not the actual load carrying suspension member, so sleep well.

AMR selection is quite opposite to what other teams have selected, what does it imply. Specially C1 tyre..

the team has added 3 intermediates, but there is no mandate to use them. in fact, from the remaining 32 sets of dry tyres, they won’t be allowed to use them all, as the rules allow for a maximum of 30 sets to be used throughout the 3 days.

Like last year, STR gets 2 afternoon sessions. With the colder temps, cloudy tomorrow, the day sessions will be helpful too.

The mystery explained, however it is quite clear that nobody cares about the dry lap and they want to have as much data as possible on hard tyres and tyre management. If the car is fast, it will go fast on those tires and will have exceptional handling. Let's hope for the best.

Find it interesting that the Mercedes this year. Is basically a carbon copy of the amr 24 with the sidepod and undercut but we’ve opted away from it

"He's one of the few engineers that can bridge across aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics and the data logger that is the driver," he added.

"He can communicate well with the driver and pull out the comments that the telemetry perhaps isn't showing and can bring that back into the factory on campus and help us chase the thing that will deliver the best lap time improvement.

"I think we'll feel the benefit of him in the opening days," added Cowell. "

Apparently Alonso is happy with the AMR25 in the sim according to this source. On the other hand Stroll is not. Don't know the reliability of this source so please take it with a pinch of salt.
