Yes I think that. And comparing games with this is just pointless, please stop it.
Actually the concept it the same everywhere. You cannot try something new and be immediately good as someone who has spent loads of time already doing that. Remember that Schumacher needed 2 years to learn that Mercedes as good as Rosberg when he came back. Alonso needed time to learn that Alpine when he also came back. There are plenty of examples.
Now you’re losing your own argument yourself by comparing drivers who had time out of the sport to drivers who are embedded within the team with a new car for a new season….deary me

Ok then. What about Antonelli coming into F1 and needing time to learn the car as good as Russell? Or Piastri in his first
two years compared to Norris. Or all the Red Bull 2nd drivers. The concept remains that a driver who changes car needs time to adapt.

Lando is down a tier this year so far. Really really inconsistent and horrible performances since China.

It's because track temps fell to 30C, pretty much the same they were at Suzuka. McLaren only has a monstrous advantage on 35C+ track temps.

Good job team. Good job Oscar.

To me it looks like Norris is too focused on mind games about who has the fastest car and it gets to him. He should stop commenting on that and just drive.

Norris has a big race to do tomorrow. For his WDC chances he needs to fight through.

Piastri keeps evolving into a better driver than Norris.

Norris should be ashamed. Unacceptable. This is not the level for a WDC.

I'm guessing a mistake in sector 1 for Lando.

Similar to Oscar last week, but more costly.

I dont think he's suddenly got worse nor Oscar suddenly getting better than him though.

Yep, apart from Australia Lando has been horrible this season. I truly mean that with all the sense of the word. When the car has pace to win every race, proven by your teammate as well, performances like this are inexcusable.

Lando can never manage a clean Q3. He will never be a champion.

I'm pretty confident to say, what he says in media pr gets quoted has no impact on his performances.

Lando is turning into Checo Perez! Thank goodness we have two top drivers!
Q: (Stefano Mancini – La Stampa) Kimi, will you help Vettel to win his championship this year?
Kimi Raikkonen: I can only drive one car, obviously.
