3rd slowest car ahead of VCARB and Haas in FP1 I would say. But Alonso with the updates would probably be a bit faster than Stroll so maybe ahead of the Saubers too.

Didn’t bother watching FP1 meaningless session during a normal race weekend.

FP2 I’ll watch. Gonna focus on slow speed and if the tyres are overheating

He knew....but historicaly when he starts to use media for this kind of messages he is unhappy or on his way out.
It's better to get the package in the second free practice. Its more likely that weather temperature at that time is more representative of quali and race day than FP1.

Remember, first isn't always better!
Both will drive it in fp2 (if it works), according to the team.

That’s a non topic for me, last year ALO got the update in FP1 in Imola.
Really? They normally do the opposite in FP2.

Guess we'll find out in about 1 hr!

It's a non issue for me 2!

Williams for example is quite ok these days, but they are always very quick in FPs, but comes Q everything was very close so far this season. But let’s see if AMR found maybe a tenth or two.

I dont see any improvement tbh, yeah stroll was half a second slower this year but this is a short circuit
Compare Stroll to Alonso usually, Alonso is 0.3-0.5s quicker than Stroll so I would say that upgrades work. How much they will give in quali? Hard to tell at this point. We have to wait at least for quali sims in FP2.

The problem that Aston can't find extra place between q1 and q3 . Sometimes thsn can't even run the q1 time in q2. The problem comes when you have to push on edge with the car....

We also can’t forget. That we’re 8th-9th in qualy trim and 9th-10th fastest team in race trim

FP2 will be interesting, I believe the plan was to swap, so Alonso has the updates and Stroll doesn't then. If so, lets see where Alonso can place it.

It's a very short track. I don't think the estimated difference within the team this season is conclusive to assume what the upgrades may bring. It's also FP1 so they may have to optimize the setup

fp1 is always so random with them needing to run "tests" to verify things. ill take stroll being quicker than alonso as a positive. really its always impossible to know anything other than the car still sucks, with a slight bit of optimism that they found something in their settup to make them more competitive. haha

AutoRacer: Blandin says a small portion of resources will still be dedicated to this year's AMR25 and a new package cannot be ruled out in the future. So maybe Imola wasn't the last.

Alonso using a 3rd new set of softs already... What is Aston (especially Mr Krack) thinking...?

If ALO is running upgrades then it's not looking good

They just need time trying to understand the new upgrade package.

It's Stroll.
