more fuel, and lower engine mode than others based on what Fred said.
Both Charles' and Lewis' pace looked good as well- "As you saw, we had several issues in FP1, but the tests in FP2 gave good sensations, and there are positive indications. We need to better analyze the data tonight, but the sensations are good."
- "McLaren had a bit less fuel, as they always do in FP2 and FP3, while we followed the usual program. We now have a good comparison between the two floors. There are some adjustments to make, and we will make the best choice for tomorrow."
- "Charles' pace was good; it’s a good starting point. Among the negative points of the session, the first sector was not very positive. It depends a lot on the fuel and engine mappings. Let’s not jump to conclusions."
- "We try to stay focused on the work we have to do. When you arrive at the weekend, it’s very important to stay focused, to work as a group and as a team, and so far, we’re doing well. We are fully committed this weekend. Let’s focus on that. How do I sleep? Very well, thank you."
Doesn't look like fuel load difference = the slope of the straightline acceleration is almost same, plus no clipping. It does look like lack of grip in the corners, however ; especially T6-T7 and T9-T10dialtone wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025, 08:46Maybe not but that sure looks like they are heavier.deadhead wrote:Engine mode doesn't look all that different to McLaren but maybe I'm not reading it correctly

That’s not usually the biggest difference in fuel load. Checking a quali sim and race sim from fp2 would give you similar shapes in corners.venkyhere wrote:Doesn't look like fuel load difference = the slope of the straightline acceleration is almost same, plus no clipping. What’s the struggle? I’m outside and he seems to have a great time on 12 lap tires and HAM is right there too.deadhead wrote:It’s rare to see LEC struggling so much especially on a track he enjoys
Again, not watching but his times look good, and again HAM is right there.
