And with that Alonso is already caught up in points to his teammate on equal points now ahead of Silverstone. Now people can be quite about the points narrative lol

Alo + 3 = 14 tied with Stroll at 14...Alonso finished 7th + 7 =14th for Stroll.
now that's Karma!

To boot they're 1 point behind Haas for 7th. So we'll get 8th for July 1st.

That was masterclass driving lesson from fernando. I think if newey delivers great car he will flare up to a level close to winning years. Awesome job

I laughed when Bortoleto went for the pass into turn 3 and Alonso backed off.

Bortoleto thought Alonso was waving the white flag when he was just wanting DRS and the switchback. Bad mistake even for a rookie!

Borteleto is closing fast with Alonso trapped behind Lawson. I hope Alonso has some tyre left to defend. Lawson has really ruined Alonso’s real pace
Alonso kept saying it was a net benefit to follow Lawson because the three DRS zones allowed him to do a lot of lift and coasting to preserve the tyres.

Fantastic job by Alonso. Last 2 laps were pure class & mastery at a highest level.

I am also surprised by tire ware and long run pace. This track is one of the worst for AM still able to pull 'One Stop' strategy after spending the entire race in dirty air of Lawson's car. Can't wait for Silverstone =D> =D>

Well played by 'Zo. Brilliant defending, and overall a master class. Stroll, once again, pretty much bro sucked.

Bit frustrating to be stuck behind Lawson for at least half the race. Overtaking was quite difficult unless the tire delta was huge.

This car doing a competitive 1 stop in the heat and altitude shows good progress somewhere for sure.

Feeling more confident that AM can deliver a car at least as good as the '23 for next year. More podiums and hopefully a win or 2 could be on the cards. Especially as the main protagonist from 2023 looks like he won't have a car to spoil the party.

Alonso in a good fight is still box office

Hahaha!

Bravo Fernando! What a master!

I'm surprised by the race pace in a one-stopper. Magnificent driving. Let's hope a few tenths could come soon...

Car is lacking top speed now, but fix in Belgium I think.

depends on silverstone upgrade. think the team is overcompensating with lack of outright downforce by running more wings, which makes them slower on straights
