Makes no sense. You don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
I don't think the football analogy works in F1 for TP's.
Well let's see nobody knows for certain. I feel Verstapen had signed a new deal during the weekend, in my opinion with another team.
Do not forget Perez lol
Agree. Pretty much in the abyss for the next regulation. No point staying because you and the Dad finally have full control. You’ve got full control of an empire that’s been nuked, and you two are all that’s left hiding in the bunker. Looks like zero championships on the horizon, so Max would be an idiot if he’s not signing for Merc, or hasn’t already.euv2 wrote: ↑09 Jul 2025, 12:55I don't understand why people think this means Max is staying, this is all more reason to leave, replacing Horner on top of the other big names they've lost this year means that it's going to be harder than ever to create the best car/team and culture. These are massive shoes to fill and the new guys can't be expected to perform miracles, Mekies doesn't even look like a long term solution, perhaps just holding position until they find someone better.
Interesting.
Definitely a solid idea. The team are at a pretty low point right now and Porsche would give Max another reason to stay if he hasn't made up his mind already. I'd say that Max stays next year to see the situation of the car/engine and team rebuilding before making a move. It took Niki Lauda a good amount of convincing of their 2014 project to bring Hamilton to Mercedes. I don't know who can persuade Max into joining Mercedes based on a theory that they have the best engine like Lauda did.
