Im think it was anyone's title, and not nailed on for either. But Lando had been clawing it back, and was likely in the ascendancy. But this is just to big a loss, especially as the car is so far away the best. Its looks impossible to not come first or second.
It certainly was anyone's, but I just thought Lando was the slight favourite.
But it isn't over, Oscar also has an older Merc engine.
I did expect Oscar to be close to Lando this year, as I said at the start of the year. Since Lando got back up to speed, he was starting to impose himself on the championship and Oscar, slightly. But that's in the dirt now.
Sad thing is, that I think Oscar will outdevelop Lando. But, next years car will be a lottery in terms of the driver's style that suits it.
