Did Alonso go wide? He still has two wheels well within the white line and has full control of the car.Sieper wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 16:58They were in the battle. Otherwise it would have been a hattrick. For sure they were both racing for that. Giampiero also warned not too. Alonso went wide and that can end your race.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 16:32No Max best lap was 1:21.003, Lando piped him on last lap with 1:20.901
He was nothing but smiles this weekend though
Not by far, just a bit more, and then bad luck. I think that was what Giampiero was warning Max for.RedNEO wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 17:57Did Alonso go wide? I watched it on F1TV with David Coulthard revealing he has cut the chicane back in the day to get quicker into the pits.venkyhere wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 18:04Croft and Brundle - they were deflated yesterday when Max bagged pole, and they were deflated today when the Sainz-Bearman incident (btw, why the penalty on Bearman ? I don't understand the rules/stewards in 2025 at all) didn't result in a VSC/SC that could have handed a free stop to the Mclarens. Croft mentioned it twice or thrice, he couldn't let go of this. Ever since Abudhabi 2021, there is not even an attempt to hide their bias by the Sky team.
Yes, Lawson is not a rookie anymore now and I think is career is already in a bad shape.
I'm not even sure it's the bias that bothers me. I go back and watch old races with Murray Walker, who was more openly biased, but it isn't grating in the same way. The way he builds Schumacher up as a supervillain was more tasteful and respectful than the Sky team (sans Brundle, who I like) pretending to be neutral while constantly trying to shape the narrative in favor of their drivers. The real difference might be that Murray really loved F1 while for Crofty it's just his jobvenkyhere wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 18:04Croft and Brundle - they were deflated yesterday when Max bagged pole, and they were deflated today when the Sainz-Bearman incident (btw, why the penalty on Bearman ? Yeah, that was amusing; he said everyone did it because no officials seemed to care. I certainly noticed a lot of pro Hamilton talk from Alex Jacque. I quite enjoy Jolyon Palmer's commenting; he and Coulthard actually mesh fairly well.maxxer wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 20:21I watched it on F1TV with David Coulthard revealing he has cut the chicane back in the day to get quicker into the pits.venkyhere wrote: ↑07 Sep 2025, 18:04Croft and Brundle - they were deflated yesterday when Max bagged pole, and they were deflated today when the Sainz-Bearman incident (btw, why the penalty on Bearman ? I found that quite funny![]()
