i mean, alonso himself considers himself the most unlucky driver ever, and i have a hard time arguing against it. dude just cant catch a break. until 2026. theres no f%^&ing way in hell he is stupid enough to quit before he drives the 26 car. if he did, he would need his head examined haha. id say the same for anyone that thinks its gonna happen too.

he has 2 wdc's sure, but hes also like 5 points away from having 5. youre right, there are many ways to measure luck. hulk never had a real choice to drive for teams that were destined to win championships, alonso picked ferrari instead of redbull (which was very logical at the time), which probably cost him 4 titles right there (yes im speculating heavy on that one). he then joined mclaren honda, which was logical given their history together, instead of staying at ferrari, where theres a good chance he could have won at least 1 more while mercedes were dominating. in hindsight people say he made bad decisions, or hes not a team player, but he didnt make any dumb decisions, it was just bad luck. and for sure, thats all just racing, and most drivers never get the chance to make those decisions, but alonso is in a league of his own with missed opertunities through little fault of his own.
