BTW live timing would look like that even if they just used the same set of soft the whole time. Every time you stop oin the pits, it think you put a new set of tires on. The bar codes on the tires are no being scanned by living timing.
And no, there's a different icon for new and used tires. Usually it's fairly accurate, and the amount of laps completed on the current set is always listed as well (as you can see on the left: stint/total). So if Alonso uses a scrubbed tire, the icon is "striked through" and the total has one lap more than the stint.
