That says a lot about the operating window for the soft tyre
on German Sky, even after several years with this sprint format, the commentators are still waiting for the drivers to take their 2nd set of softs.ToffeeTyres wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 21:29Crofty saying multiple times Hamilton was trying to start his final lap and getting to the line in time when in fact he was on a lap jeez. I think Brundle has had enough of correcting him, Crofty makes so many errors every session how the hell has the guy kept his job since 2012 I will never know. He knows nothing gets drivers names wrong and so many mistakes in his commentary every session he does and 95% of what he does say has nothing to do with F1 at all. Absolutely shocking he needs to go
The only 'technical' comment I have heard Croft make is - "oh, that's a wiggle, looks like he is struggling with the rear". The man knows absolutely zilch about the basics of engineering/physics (tall asks, I know) or even the technical aspects of driving (like saying 'understeer' instead of saying 'seems to have lost grip there, and gone off'). I guess a vast majority of 'casual audience' thinks he is an expert who can be entertaining with his voice and that's how he keeps his job.ToffeeTyres wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 21:29Crofty saying multiple times Hamilton was trying to start his final lap and getting to the line in time when in fact he was on a lap jeez. Could not agree more, totally out of his depth.ToffeeTyres wrote: ↑07 Nov 2025, 21:29Crofty saying multiple times Hamilton was trying to start his final lap and getting to the line in time when in fact he was on a lap jeez. looks like most of the storm should be through in the morning now. So if there isn't really any damage to the track, I think we should be good to go. It'll still be wet later on, but nothing that looks like a major issue.CjC wrote: ↑08 Nov 2025, 01:01All options are possible

Yea he was. Was getting a bit held up, but easily had the potential to pull away in clearer air.organic wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 19:59No he wasn't?Seanspeed wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 18:45Easy to forget Norris was also fastest in the wet last year for most of the race, up until the safety car mixup that got Max out front.search wrote: ↑05 Nov 2025, 18:01I would say McLaren's advantage in the wet was fairly significant this year. Verstappen also echoed that in Spa, saying "McLaren is even stronger in the wet than in the dry, because the overheating is even bigger, of course, on an Intermediate, so they have that really well under control."
But even if this still is the case, especially changing conditions still have potential to lead to a bigger upset, of course.
The Mclaren should still be favorites in any conditions. It's easily been the best car all year in basically every situation.
.
He did pass Russell at some point but somehow messed that up later by going off. Norris last year was pretty poor for the car he was driving.
I think Russel fumbled it, if I recall correctly. Norris lost his positions at the restarts. Overtaking was very difficult, Russel could not overtake the Alpine in the end. Norris did not have any pace, so he could not profit from the errors others made.
