Are you basing this comment entirely on the trackmap colors? Those are approximations and usually not that accurate in F1-Tempo btw. You should look at the telemetry and usually completely disregard track colors actually. It's just a "pretty" feature. From the telemetry, there's no difference between them on the straight and there was no tow on either of their final laps. They were completely alone in track.

Oscar loses a lot in T1 braking and T2 exit and he carries that all throughout the lap. Loses another half a tenth in the last couple of corners, but the big difference is at the start of trhe lap.

my impresson on TV was that Piastri was in no man's land, with Norris a couple of seconds behind, still somewhat benefitting from him. And I saw that confirmed by the data.

But yeah, checking the coverage & tracker again, Norris was too far away to really benefit more than minimally, if at all.

Oscar mentioned that he had a couple of bad moments that cost him, looking at the telemetry you can see those moments. They aren't big, but they were costly and you see them at the first and last corners. Unfortunately I haven't seen his lap.

It was just bad luck from Piastri there. Antonelli said that Norris did sent water into the track by hitting a kerb but that was clear bad luck to Piastri. It can happen to anyone. The title has a long way to go.

Can McLaren please stop sabotaging Oscar. I mean it's so obvious, they told Norris to hit the kerb and put the water in the racing line to take out Oscar. Shameless these people ...

Not necessarily. Used softs vs used mediums. He should have better grip off the line. He did it right the first time.

Honestly not bad luck at all, he took way too much kerb, just the same as the two behind him that crashed in the same corner.
