best sector2 times in sprint :
NOR - 36.7
PIA - NA as he crashed early when fuel load was high
ANT - 36.7
RUS - 36.9
VER - 37.1
LEC - 37.3
HAM - 37.5
TSU - 37.7
That 0.4 disadvantage remains, expectedly. TSU's time is irrelevant irrespective of what 'experimental setup' he ran, for obvious reasons (2nd redbull driver can't drive difficult car... blah blah).
Without addressing this (more wing or less stiff suspension or ride height or whatever) core issue, it's pointless racing on Sunday. Whether wet or dry, this painful disadvantage will not 'magically go away' by lumping 'hope' on track temp or tyre age or compound delta etc. The car has to undergo some 'fix', even if it makes it worse, that risk has to be taken, because 'nothing to lose' anyway (want to see Redbull live up to their 'gambler' reputation) - otherwise all the excitement for a tight championship finish will be wasted.
For me, even a P4/P5 grid spot is fine in main Q, as long as sector2 is fixed. Without sector2, DRS cannot be used on the pit straight. Top speed will be useless without a good sector2. Only if sector2 is fixed, can the driver make 'moves' with alternate lines (wet or dry) attacking the car in front, into T1 or T4 (the only overtaking spots).
