Is Toto not planning on sticking around in F1?

I’d be surprised if he stays on as TP past 2026 or 2027. He’s said plenty of times he’s not doing this forever, and he’s already started skipping a few races a year. I think he just wants to try to get the team back to fighting for championships, and then he’ll hand things over to someone else. Plus, his son just started karting, and he’s said he wants to be around more to support him as he gets into racing.

There's no real heir apparent though. Plus his wife is active in the paddock. I don't see him walking away from this. I do see him selling a decent chunk of his stake to Lewis when he retires though and bringing him into the garage as a Lauda/Marko like advisor

I kinda do see Mike Elliot coming back to Mercedes and Shovlin taking over TP duties. Unless James Vowles is up for it, but he's running Williams currently. You never know.

Also Lewis coming back to Mercedes as a mentor for Kenzo Craigie wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Stepping down as TP doesn’t mean he’s walking away from the team. He’ll probably stay on as CEO; he just doesn’t want to deal with the day-to-day stuff as much or travel to most of the races. He’s been clear about that. Someone like Shov could easily take over the TP role. And as for selling a major stake to Lewis? That’s nonsense.

They are allowed to change the power steering because it’s considered a safety équipement ?

If there's a legitimate issue they can switch any chassi part for an identical one without any penalty.
