Quick look at FP1 data shows :
- Norris struggling through 14-15-16 and 12 (lifting too early)
- Verstappen struggling through 7-8-9
- LeClerc is the benchmark reference everywhere
(didn't look like anyone was sandbagging anymore than the other - all were looking similar PU modes).

Nor was constantly missing his breakpoint at T12.
Ver and Tsu are apparently testing out diffrent rearwings/levels. In the P1 session Tsu was quicker in the slower corners, Ver way faster on the straight.
Lec was certainly setting the baseline ..

Merc weren't pushing.

Some longrun data from FP1:

Could be quite valuable in the end, with the red flags, and basically no sets left to do a longrun on race tires in FP3. Teams like McLaren are on the back foot already.

Yuki's P3 performance in FP1 gave me some hope of him doing well this weekend but he got back to his usual results with P15 in FP2.

FP2 was interrupted though, times do not say a lot.

I'd still say it was a positive day for Tsunoda, even if he didn't get a lap in in FP2. Would be fun if he puts it on pole tomorrow.

Any idea why this track seems to suit the Alpine? Gasly qualified 3rd and 5th the past two years, and looked good again today - while he usually ends up at the very back in Monza. Maybe they get the tires to work better than others

Maybe because it’s colder Alpine can run their engine harder?

Lando’s Q1 lap was set under a yellow.

Not sure how much he slowed down by, but definitely improved his lap time.

He was faster before the yellow flags.
