A shame for that slide, 1 second up would have been mental. Lando is very good in drying conditions and has been since 2021 at least.
Canada last year, he was soo good. Before he was saftey carred

At least England have one over Australia here, as in this qualification period the cricket has fallen apart!
Crazy game, that!
As an England fan, I had some hope. But, I should know never to have any in Australia.
I'm shocked to find myself supporting Eng at the Ashes but might be hard to recover from this one. Good luck!

Great lap from Norris, without a mistake he could have been a second ahead of Max. I don't like that Max is right behind him because he could be quite dirty at the start of the race. I hope for the best. If Norris wins and Max is third, the WDC is over for Max, right?

Totally worth it to wake up for 5AM session, would recommend :D (same tomorrow).
Great pole by Lando again. Survive turn 1 tomorrow and he should be ok, no need to be P1.
That’s a big no from me. Sleep is better
I planned to sleep, woke up twice, second time during the Q1, checked the feed and saw that it was wet and then decided I have to watch this, too much potential for chaos.

McLaren managed it well, great job by the team and drivers. Piastri was unlucky to be P5.

I don't think Lando will get in anything with Max. He will let him pass if he has to. 7 poibts loss is no biggie.

In my opinion Norris should cover Max and stop him from passing at all costs even if it means sending him in the wall. Exploit the same rules he's exploiting.

I absolutely expect a divebomb and a half by Max tomorrow. If it's as bad as in 2023, then Lando should just let him through and try to cover the inevitable 5-10 seconds penalty Max will get. If Max divebombs and keeps it on-track then it depends on what the pace will be like. Unless Lando has pace enough to overtake before the braking zones then he can win it. If not, then forget about it. Max will just play with the apex rule like in Austin last year. I doubt Max is in mood to play "clean racing" with Lando.

As for Oscar, you have to feel bad for him. Although the pace hasn't been amazing, the guy has just straight up been quite unlucky these last couple of races. Seems like the best chance for him to stay in the fight at the moment is to hope Max divebombs Lando into T1 tomorrow and it goes horribly wrong for both of them. Because with the kind of pace+luck combo he has been having these days, championship is likely to be sealed in Qatar.

Definitely won't see the race tomorrow on these ungodly hours
But I will wake up to the result and probably watch the replay in Multiviewer in the morning.

Amazing job from Lando this morning (in Europe :))
Marko still a hypocrite. He should first look at that RB2 before speaking.

But this "always complaining" status is something specific to RBR:

Lando looked always on pace for pole. Last lap could have been +1s better.

Had Lando delivered that lap 1 second in front, it would have been a lap for the ages, but he's Lando so it wasn't. That's why Lando wasn't on pole in Japan, Miami, and other races.

If Verstappen had managed to get 1 more run in (as Marko alluded to), then he likely would have taken pole by a tenth or two from the track improvement because of the 6 tenths that Lando dropped in the final sector with the mistake.

Stupid take. You're saying Max made no mistakes today. Take off your blinkers and appreciate what Lando is doing at the moment.

Isn't it time some people should start to appreciate Lando Norris at this point and stop with the coping excuses (it's the car, it's my grandma, it's this, it's that). Put Hamilton, Alonso, Senna, Prost, Lauda, Mansell, Schumacher and any champion of the 80s, 90s and 2000s in that Red Bull and they would be leading that title when you have a grid that the distance from first to tenth is half a second. If at the end of the day Max and Red Bull are unable to find a way to surpass Lando and Mclaren the whole year then they are inadequate to be champions. After all everyone makes mistakes and Lando Norris won on a fully wet surface where cars become equal and if he had another lap expect him to have had over a second on Max. There should be no more excuses.

Great lap by NOR, he clearly improved his mental game, as this qualy was all about the mental game and delivering under huge pressure in super important part of the season. I hope he wins tomorrow, or maybe even 1-2.... LETS GO BOYS.... MCLAREN!

yeah, that's also what Marko acutally said. I saw the interview on German Sky. The headline above is nonsense. He just explained why they didn't get the timing perfect, not blaming others for it.
