white indicates the diffuser 'hole'.

Not getting a proper impression of the orange marked area :
(a) is it a ramp that rises abruptly (single orange arrow) from the floor's roof and is the top surface of the diffuser itself
OR
(b) the diffuser originates upstream of this and the roof of the diffuser is 'underneath' the 'floor-ramp' junction we can see here

Also, the 'line' shown by the double orange arrows - it remarkably looks like a stair-step, but I am hoping it's the shadow from something above

Red Bull has been running with this semi-permanent pressure sensors on the floor in the coke bottle area. Someone pointed out that Red Bull removed the left side barge board on both thursday and friday evening. They could be studying how well the bargeboard is working to exclude the tire wake.

Solid face. Very interesting. Some other teams have gone for traditional spoked wheel rim with composite covers, but this limits heat transfer to the surroundings. Now they have direct metal to air heat conduction, just like a radiator.

Someone help me understand about the 'ROKT' shoulder cannon beneath the halo :
1) is it a cooling duct (looks likely despite how narrow it is) or an aerodynamic pipe-duct to re-energize the flow at the side of the engine-cover-waterslide area ?
2) irrespective of whether it is cooling/aero, where is the air inlet ? unable to locate it in the high-res pictures 2.3.4. Kindly help locate. Is the inlet same as the main sidepod inlet itself ?

From my understanding that bulge might not be for how you think it is used. Unless I am mistaken there was a photo earlier in the thread showing that the rb22 still has an air to air intercooler and that piping might be for routing air internally and not for an exhaust where the gills are.

Looks like I was conservative. The forward sidepod overhang appears to comprise the inner half of the sidepod, the entirety of the inlet area. It’s bridging the forward chassis to the floor in a more gradual way and effectively increases the plan area of the floor as well as its inlet height, beyond what could be achieved otherwise (with a more typical undercut sidepod). A remarkable departure from ~15 years of standard practice.

Now that it's confirmed, is it possible to discuss the possible advantages, and the reasons they've gone for this approach over Audi's?

Audi's looks more aggressive to me. Taller, with a snowplow shape that pushes air downward into a more vertical orientation. The RB22's looks to be a more gradual, simple shape--a ramp, not a scoop. A major difference there is that the airflow vector through the FLEDs is different, with Audi's receiving a more perpendicular airflow onto their FLEDS, while RB22's you have to assume has an airflow approach angle more like 45* or less.

Looks like a fore-hinged swing arm (with vertical 'play limiter' towers on either side) of some sort that is weight-bearing.. One of the engine/gearbox mounts ?

Could they not run an undercut still from the Y axis where this floor extension meets the sidepod? Really it seems like as long as the front of the sidepod meets the X, Y, Z criteria for curvature, they could transition into a normal one quite easily?
