Finally Lewis is back out on track. Flow vis on front wing
They must have made a significant change, no flow viz on the rear anymore, and now it's all over the front wing and the front of the floor.

Ferraris tyre degradation with the prototypes is really impressive compared to others
For sure! I think second to only Mclaren as it seems. In general as well, I mean.

Really good work by Ferrari. I'm excited, can't wait.

Would have been nice for Lewis to get at least one good hot lap in!

Leclerc is also dropping down to first, 3 times in that lap (T1, T8 and T10). In their fastest laps last week he and Hamilton only went down to second.
Likely copying Verstappen. I think they can deal with the extra instability in the rear under braking to gain more battery regen.
It’s also going to increase the gas flow to their exhaust blown aero in the lower speed corners.
Beware of T-Rex

It's not totally implausible. Leclerc had no energy left on the main straight after the last corner of the hotlap, while it seems like Mercedes had plenty. And that discrepancy is gonna make a huge difference, even if the run to the line isn't super far.

Qualifying is gonna be so weird cuz of these differences in deployment. In some ways it'll create more suspense cuz even being up half a second after some sector isn't gonna feel like the normally perfectly save margin it used to be. Maybe teams will converge on deployment strategy over time though. I kinda expected to see more of that already by now, but Ferrari and Merc/Mclaren definitely seem to be sticking to their own ideas.

Will there be new side pods tomorrow ? Last week there was talk of more extreme version of sidepods coming this week.

f1insight hub bugged? coz it shows he left of throttle well before crossing the finish line, Russell and Oscar gain massively over there
like in f1insighthub right now shows he crossed the finish line at 80kph..

The Monkey Grill is pretty much an extreme solution, could be people were referring to that.

Would be well more than three tenths down if he crossed the line that slow. That'd be seconds slower.

Ferrari seem to be pushing deployment a lot up to T13 for some reason. Seems like a bad idea for a hotlap, when they've got a long straight right after, then the main straight run(albeit shorter technically). Pretty much everybody except Ferrari are harvesting up to T13.

Perhaps a case of Ferrari sandbagging a little bit with that, cuz I dont know how that's supposed to be ideal. Or they're just trying new things in general, like also with shifting down to 1st which they weren't doing last week.

It's just a bugged delta.
