the hotlaps were not convincing. The long stints were extremely fast (of course if representative of race sim stints...thing that we cannot be sure of)
Yeah, I have some copium they have been experimenting today, clearly they reserved quite a big update package for this test session, their normal day to day program worked well for the first 2 tests and the first day. Hopefully they are now working towards more experimental part of their program and hence the hiccups.
Also according to Fred__18 Ferrari never went above 7th gear, can someone confirm?Although Ferrari couldn't spend the day as they wanted due to the morning's schedule, they were satisfied with the car's performance during the time they were on track. Tomorrow, the final tests will be held before Melbourne. Hamilton is currently happy with the overall driving feel of the car
Quite a bit as you don’t recharge the battery well since you use it more on the straights.dans79 wrote:I wonder how much time that cost!
Probably need to check last week’s runs. If he was down on PU mode its actually worse to go to 8th, assuming their 8th gear is rather long.
They were indeed experimenting today "running several set up options and assessing how the tyres behaved" to quote the teamdialtone wrote: ↑19 Feb 2026, 18:56Yeah, I have some copium they have been experimenting today, clearly they reserved quite a big update package for this test session, their normal day to day program worked well for the first 2 tests and the first day.
