So where Audi have gone for a full floor extension, Red Bull have just opted to create a mini venture entrance like the last set of regs had.
Surprised by the direction change of the floors in that area, it’s quite aggressive.
My question is how far back could you go with this "tunnel inlet"? Aren't there regs on the roof height under the floor? Otherwise it wouldn't be a flat floor. I don't see how it could be much of a tunnel.

I think it’s more about having surfaces that force more air under the floor or the car, which seems counter-intuitive as you want low pressure under there, but I assume it’s accelerating air through the diffuser and making it more efficient.AR3-GP wrote: ↑22 Feb 2026, 04:23My question is how far back could you go with this "tunnel inlet"? If we look at Audi's floor LE, what can you really do here?

In the last regulation set, in this zone, we saw clean end-to-end curved underfloor strakes to create outwashing vortices from lateral floor edge. Will this 'mini-bargeboard' be anywhere near as successful in 'sending air' to combat front wheel wake ? Or are they trying to send vortices in the x-direction under the floor ?FW17 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2026, 19:01It looks more like a mini barge boardAR3-GP wrote: ↑22 Feb 2026, 04:23My question is how far back could you go with this "tunnel inlet"? what is that 'white/bright' stub visible where the rear axle would be ? something on the fence through which the high speed camera is aiming ?AR3-GP wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026, 19:15Kiel rake after the sidepod update.

“The overall concept of the car isn’t locked. We won’t be able to change everything, but we can modify a lot. That’s the key: it’s not about having a good car now, but being able to improve it.”
